EQUIP for Committed to Excellence: Project Validation is a 1st level package that enables your organisation to complete a facilitated self-assessment and begin the submission process for Committed to Excellence: Project Validation.

EQUIP helps you to:

  • Fully understand your organisation’s current level of performance against the Excellence framework.
  • Prioritise and implement improvement activities and gain meaningful recognition
  • Save time and resources when completing your Committed to Excellence submission
  • Achieve tangible results from your improvement activities

The Package includes:

Use of the online toolkit

Enables a flexible method of self-assessment which provides reports to help you and your team to find out areas of strength and areas for improvement in the organisation. The toolkit also contains a Committed to Excellence section which enables you to complete key information sections of your submission.

A full day facilitation

The facilitator will guide you and your team through the self-assessment helping you get the most out of the process, working through the results of the self-assessment to help identify 3 improvement projects to take forward for your submission.

Committed to Excellence Recognition

Including submission support, validation day and feedback report. The Committed to Excellence European recognition is valid for 2 years and is presented at our annual Scottish Awards for Business Excellence each June

What's Involved

  • Complete your EQUIP for Committed to Excellence: Project Validation application form and submit to Quality Scotland
  • Plan your facilitated self-assessment and who will be involved. An Account Director at Quality Scotland will be able to give you guidance about the number of people to involve and the cross section from your organisation.
  • Access to the online tool is provided ahead of the self-assessment day to complete key information sections and familiarise participants with the content.
  • Facilitated day to prioritise 3 areas for improvement. Begin to action these areas and assign ownership and timescales for the improvement projects. Begin to populate your Committed to Excellence submission document.
  • Work with an Account Director to complete your Committed to Excellence submission and arrange your site visit for validation (usually 6-9 months after your self-assessment day).
  • Submit updated Committed to Excellence submission and make arrangements for the site visit (guidance provided).
  • Site visit validation – 3 project meetings, one focus group and initial feedback meeting.
  • Committed to Excellence logo and certificate issued and valid for two years.
  • Successful organisations are presented with their award at Quality Scotland’s prestigious Scottish Awards for Business Excellence each June.
